how do you put a contact message on a lost phone - mine was swiped in uk and 10 later it find my phone alerts me its in an address in china ....how do I put a contact message on the phone?

… but after 10 days, it likely really was in China and now it’s “parts.”
Suggest you “write it off” and move on.

Be VERY vigilant for messages - allegedly from Apple or the police - stating they’ve recovered your phone.
They are NOT from Apple or any legitimate entity.
They ARE from the theives attempting to spear-phish your AppleID and or device access credentials.

DO continue to watchout out for those spear-phishing messages.
Your AppleID is still a “target” and they quite literally “have your number.”
The phishing messages and links they contain can be VERY convincing in appearance.
Posters here have reported receiving them MANY months after loosing their phones.
