iOS shortcut to toggle low quality image mode for messages

I'm looking for a way to enable & disable Messages -> Low Quality Image Mode, I thought of using Shortcuts but I'm not finding a way to do it. Has anyone worked on this before?

There is no direct shortcut to disable Low-Quality Image Mode. The best option is to create a shortcut to Message in settings.

1. Open the Shortcuts app

2. Tap Add Action

3. Search for "URL" and select it.

4. Paste this path: prefs:root=MESSAGES

5. Go to the bottom of the search box and search for "Open URLs" and select it.

At the top, in the dropdown menu, you can choose to give the shortcut a color, icon and name - finally you can choose Add to Home Screen.
