Vungle cloud ux template

So I recently came into a situation where I had vungle cloud ux template on the Lock Screen of my iPhone SE Second Gen running 16.3.1. It seemed to be somehow associated with my airplay, which I don’t use. I looked for answers throughout the community and interwebs, and found a few things about it being an intrusive pop up ad, but nothing definitive.

As a former Senior Mac+ Advisor, and iPhone owner, I went through a process of elimination and noticed there was a specific app that I had open whenever this was on my Lock Screen.

The app is/was MatchScapes, which recently changed its name to Match Tile Scenery. Guessing they got caught by the real MatchScape game. But it’s Basically one of the million Mah Jong knockoffs. I’ve attached a picture of the app for reference. It’s by Gamehaus PTE.Ltd.

Now I’ve read a bit that says this Vungle thing is due to an ad for BlockDoku. This is one of the millions of ads associated with this game. It also seems that other platforms such as Microsoft have removed the BlockDoku ad from their games and it’s remedied the situation.

I took a more direct approach and removed the app completely. The moment I deleted the app from my phone, the Vungle Cloud thing disappeared never to return.

Im not sure how intrusive it is and to what level I should be concerned.

So other than clearing my history and website data, removing the app, and doing a restart, is there anything else further I need to do? Like do I need to restore my device or take further actions? I’m hoping to find someone who knows a little more about this Vungle Cloud thing and who can explain its capabilities to me.

ANY info would be great!

Probably you are using third-party apps or a third-party device.

If you are experiencing any difficulty with third-party apps or a specific website or a product then please contact the app developer or site publisher/host or the manufacturer directly. Here is how

  • To contact an App developer --> How to contact an app developer - Apple Support
  • To contact a web publisher —> Scroll Down to the bottom of the web page. You will find: Contact Us, Help Center, Support, Terms of use, etc.
  • To contact the Manufacturer --> Please read the manual that may have come along with the product.
