yes (forgot to try the second method but still didn't work lol)
Figures. :) By any chance do you have a copy of Launchpad on an external drive as well as the internal drive? If so, delete the copy from the external.
Provide a Screen Shot and maybe just maybe we will better understand
You're welcome. Personally I never use Launchpad.

Where ?
refer to screen shots below
I am running 3 different Apple Computers, each running the current version of Ventura 13.2.1
If the User is actually meaning in the Dock - that is very different from Launchpad icon in Launchpad
refer to below
yup it's in launchpad, like the top screenshot
I've been trying to figure out how to get apps in my external drive and not have their dock icons turn into ?'s so I ended up moving everything into launchpad so that's probably how this happened, I probably dragged launchpad into launchpad lol

Q - " I've been trying to figure out how to get apps in my external drive and not have their dock icons turn into ?' "
A - There must be some Specific Reason, which remains a mystery
A - Many Applications and all their supporting elements are Self Contained .
A - While Other Applications have supporting elements specific to that Application in more than one location in the User Account Folder ( Home Folder )
A - When I look at Launchpad in Applications folder I see as per the Below image
A - To these old eyes and very important is its' is " Macintosh HD * System * Application ( the asterisk I type Should be as per In the Image but do not know how to duplication that 😔
checked to make sure launchpad wasn't in my external drive or something but yeah it's in the same location as yours
I'm not worried about the ? icons right now, I think mac ventura's just buggy, which probably also explains launchpad not resetting after trying both things in that link the other person posted, I'm probably just gonna have to wait for Mac OS to get updated which isn't a problem

FWIW, It has nothing to do with Ventura being "buggy". If it was, it would be a problem on my Ventura installs along with Phillips'.
yeah that makes sense since we all have the same hardware, I just switched from windows so that's why I figured that lol
well I'm not sure what I did, since I don't think I did anything, but I must have done something so I'll just factory reset, tyvm

Personally I wouldn't bother since it doesn't cause a problem just sitting in Launchpad.
didn't work but ty for trying
