iPhone battery drains instantaneously at midday and midnight

This is weird. My wife’s SE goes catastrophically flat (90-100% down to 1%) in just a couple of minutes. And it does so at 12:00 and 24:00 GMT precisely. The battery health is good. What on earth is going on?

Looking at your screenshot, the outage is not exactly 12 hour intervals and not exactly top of the hour. I think you are seeing what looks like a coincidence from a degraded battery.


There are several generations of iPhone SE so if this is one of the earlier models it would be worth getting the battery checked by Apple. Then you can make an informed decision whether to replace the battery or upgrade the entire phone to a newer model. (If it is the current version SE it may still be in warranty)
