Iphone 14 Pro has black screen

Since upgrading to iOS 16.3.1, my screen periodically goes black and i have to do a hard restart on it. Please don't say to continue doing this. You need to address the problem. Do I need to file a claim for this new device that I recently purchased from Apple and ask to have it replaced? I would bet this is not a hardware issue and more of a software issue.

If your iPhone won't turn on or is frozen - Apple Support


I would have it checked out and go from there…

Inconvenience…yes but I would have it checked out anyway.
