CarPlay Navigation volume is too loud

This question was previously asked and the answer given that was found helpful is to go into Settings->Maps->Navigation & Guidance

but this setting doesn’t exist in iOS 16. Where do I go to adjust that volume - it really is ridiculously loud. The funny thing is that I can ask Siri to use a lower volume voice and she responds that she’ll talk more softly. Only to be scream the next direction out the car speakers :-(

I checked the CarPlay->Settings and don’t see a volume control there. There’s a volume icon on the CarPlay map, but that doesn’t let you adjust volume either.

The car’s physical buttons only affect CarPlay music?!

In case it matters (although previous questions about the same was for other car brands), my car is a 2019 Nissan Leaf.

Hi, thanks for the suggestions but:

1) the same behavior is seen on both my phone and my wife's (separate Apple IDs), so restarting my phone isn't going to make a difference

2) My wife and I both have the latest iPhone releases 16.3.1.

3) none of the suggested steps given here relate to navigation volume. I don't have a connectivity issue - CarPlay works just fine in all its functions - it's simply that the navigation voice is too loud and there appear to be no settings in either iOS or in the vehicle's CarPlay function to adjust that.

4) I will try that next - I was trying this forum before I contact apple directly.
