iOS 16.3.1 Ad Blockers / Content Blockers Not Working

I started noticing that ads were showing up while I was browsing the web.

i uninstalled and reinstalled my preferred content blocker and then even tried a paid one to no avail. Ads were still coming through.

I finally figured out that by default, for every page and tab, the content blocker setting was turned off. I have to turn it on manually in the safari page settings for each page and tab.

im mot sure how to fix! I restarted, killed safari and even did a hard reset on phone.

Same here! Content blockers are not longer working which is terrible! The only way to make it work is to go back to safari settings --> Content Blockers --> Turn on All wesbites which makes no sense why you've to turn on two content blockers to do the job of one.

I had to figure this the hard way as I use an app called BeTimeful which essentially blocks my social media feed so I stay connected, not distracted on Social media.

Unfortunately, that is not the case. It is up-to-date. I've even uninstalled and reinstalled the Adblock software. I've also tried several other programs as well - including paid. There's something very odd happening here and not sure how to fix. Are you also using an iPhone 14 Pro Max? I have heard others say it is working fine which baffles me further - unless it is a phone model difference. I don't think I'm missing any settings because it is pretty straight forward. App has to be up-to-date and you have to activate the program within the safari settings.

Maybe your ad blocker app is not up to date. I use a free version of AdGuard on my iPhone, with iOS 16.3.1 and it works flawlessly.
