iCloud login is permanent?
Hi, probably an edge case…
I have a really old iPad mini 2 (iOS 12.5.7) which the kids were using. I created a generic “kids” iCloud account to manage them.
They’ve now grown up and inherited more iDevices, so I wanted to move them to individual iCloud accounts.
I could not sign out of the generic iCloud account on the iPad mini: (“Sign-out is not available due to restrictions”).
I couldn’t remove them from the iCloud ‘family’, because they were underage.
So, I deleted that iCloud account, thinking it would solve it…
However, I *still* can’t sign out of the iPad mini (constantly prompts for the deleted iCloud password).
I can’t do a “Reset All Content and Settings” as it wants the (deleted) iCloud login password.
I can’t re-create the old iCloud account (“This email address is not available”)…
So once a device is logged into an underage iCloud account, that is permanent and can’t be undone?!!
Any help appreciated :)
