Old iPhone 6S how to use on wifi

Well as usual I can’t find the answer here. I just got a new OEM battery installed in my old 6S that’s been in a drawer for a couple years.

I just want to use it on Wi-Fi. How do I do that? Turning on Wi-Fi and logging onto the Wi-Fi doesn’t work. Does it need to be associated with my Apple ID? How do I do that? It’s not wiped….still has all the apps and such from when it was my old phone. And more importantly it Staub has a lot of the music that Apple keeps disappearing from my 12pro (literally albums just vanish….makes one long for the Napster days of music piracy…but that’s another thread entirely)

Who replaced the battery?

Have you had the battery replaced by Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Providers?

For sure check your iPhone model & iOS version -> Go to: Settings -> General -> About.

If your iPhone is an iPhone 6S you can update the iPhone to iOS 15.7.3, see -> iPhone models compatible with iOS 15.5 -> iPhone models compatible with iOS 15.5 – Apple Support (UK)

You need about 6 GB device storage and good Service & Wi-Fi.

If they are On, turn Off Hotspot & VPN.

Charge the battery > 70%.
