UPS DELIVERY FEE TEXT SCAM

just ordered a new pair of Airpods from the apple website goes as followed

𝗨𝗣𝗦: “My name” 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘁𝗼 my postal code. 𝗔 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗳𝗲𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝟭.𝟱𝟱$ 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗮𝗴𝗲. 𝗣𝗮𝘆 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘆 𝗯𝘆 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴: xxxxx scam website

i am genuinely surprised how scammers have your information and the timing of the events i fell for it but then after a few minutes realized it is dumb that on the website it says free shipping glad that i used my pre paid visa which i can dispose anytime thanks to this wont be scammed however just so you all are know that it gets scary

No information has been compromised.

It’s a coincidence that you actually happened to have placed an order with Apple. Thousands of people who have NOT ordered anything from Apple get these as well. Getting the zip code associated with a phone number is trivially easy.

same here...and it also asked for other details like address ...

But the ques is... where is the information being compromised.... Apple (since it knows its an Apple order) or UPS which i assume so since it had the delivery details like Name and the zip....seems like UPS needs to act

well in this case the zip code and my phone are not in sync...i mean my phone is from another zip code and the delivery was for another zipp.. My Phone based Zip <> My Address Zip Code <> Delivery Address Zip Code...that forms the basis of my assumption that UPS might be compromised..
