Can’t sign in to iCloud on Apple TV 2 (A1469)

i logged out of iCloud and can’t log back in. My password is correct, and 2-factor is on. I get a 2-factor code from my phone, enter it, and subsequently I get the following error:


Unable to sign in


iCloud is not currently available. Try again later.



It is running Apple TV Software 7.9 (8163).

Please contact Apple Support for their compatibility statement for the combination of iCloud services (Photos?) and your model Apple TV. Recent changes to iCloud may have affected compatibility for some services with some older models.


A1469 is an Apple TV (3rd generation) model.
