We don't know which Mac, which Mac model (year), or which Mac OS is installed.

We don't know which installation method isn't working for you, or if you get an error message that may help troubleshoot.

Wondering what file extension the fonts you want to install have.

Some are for Apple computers, eg: .ttf .ttc

Some are for PC / Windows eg: .fon .euf .tte etc.

Can you just drag the font file to the Font Book app icon in the Dock

Try dragging/dropping the font files to Library/Fonts.
