My Mac is telling me "fonts not installed"

I am trying to install a font, but my Mac is telling me that the font could not be installed. Is there any way I can fix this?

Try dragging the font file into Home/Library/Fonts. You get to Home/Library by holding down the Option key and doing Finder > Go. If there is no Fonts folder, make one via File > New Folder.
