iPad is not updating even with automatic updates turned on

I have automatic updates turned “on” but my iPad is not updating!  I get a message saying the update “will be installed later tonight” but in the morning get an error message saying the update “will try again later because there was an alarm set” however I have never had any alarms set on my iPad!

Thanks for reaching out TLimsHmmldigp,

It sounds like you're having trouble with automatic updates. We can help.

If you aren't able to complete an update wirelessly, our next option would be to connect your device using a Mac or Windows PC and updating it that way. Check out these steps to Update your iPhone or iPad:

If the update doesn't appear on your device, use your computer to update your device manually. Learn how to update your device manually if you're using a Mac with macOS Catalina or later, or if you're using a Mac with macOS Mojave or earlier or a Windows PC.

Hope that helps.

Take care.
