WHY IS THE TYPE BLACK ON BLACK on the back of my Apple TV unit??? With a magnifier I still could not read it!!! I need to know what version of Apple TTV I have.

If you go into settings on another device like iPhone - Your Name, scroll down to the Apple TV - tap that and it will show model number, serial number and the tvOS version you have. Then see: Identify your Apple TV model - Apple Support

What ports does it have on the back?

If you use a flashlight, and take a picture you may be able to read the text.
