When I am charging my Apple Watch. I can’t make the percentage show up even when I press the charging button. Please advise. Thanks.

Since last update I can’t tap my watch on its charger to see the percentage. When I mirror the watch with my iPhone it’s the same story. Can you fix it in next update?

You don't get it. Prior to the update, when the watch was on the white, magnetic charger, with the watch face Up, a simply tap of the screen, or actually bumping the surface of the counter where the watch was being charged would show a green circle on the watch face showing the charging status. This is no longer the case. You have to sign into the watch and press the lower side button to see where the charging progress is/was. Apple continues to modify settings that have worked well for years, without regard to checking with the Apple community if this warrants a change, or an opportunity for a wearer to continue using an old feature that works for them.

Hello Ericleekf,

According to this page, you should be able to check the battery percentage on your Apple Watch in the following ways: Check your battery and charge your Apple Watch - Apple Support

Check your battery and charge your Apple Watch

Check your battery at a glance from the watch face, Control Center, or Nightstand mode.

Check your battery charge

You can check your Apple Watch battery's charge level in several places:

* Swipe up on the watch face to open Control Center and find the battery percentage.

* On some watch faces, you can add a battery complication

* On your iPhone, you can add a battery widget to show any connected Apple Watch.

* When your Apple Watch is charging in Nightstand mode, tap the charging button  to check the battery percentage.

Apple Watch showing charging details in the Settings app

See charging details in Settings

Open the Settings app, then tap Battery. Your current charge level appears, along with a detailed charging graph.

If you're unable to see the charge with these options, then we'd recommend the following steps for the latest fixes:

  1. Make sure the paired iPhone is up to date: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
  2. Make sure the Apple Watch is updated: Update your Apple Watch - Apple Support
  3. Test it out by charging the Apple Watch.

Should it persist, we'll need to learn more about the issue. What happens exactly when you connect the Apple Watch to the charger? Does it display anything on the screen at all?

Hoping to hear how it goes.

Take care.

This is true for the charger you are using. The most recent post is about the lack of the green progress circle using the provided Apple circle magnet charger.

that is what is in the silicone rubber holder, an Apple charge puck.

Why raise a six month old thread from the dead just to criticise two long standing contributors, and wrongly?

just got the IWatch 10.5 and after about 4 and a half hours of fighting with the update, it requires to be above 50% battery otherwise it will outright cancel the update and restart 2-3 hours of progress. In this time, i get 2 screens; the default “Apple Aluminum Frame” thing screen displaying the product, or a black screen with white text saying “Continue Setup on Iphone”. It will not show me what percentage it is charging at so i cannot tell if it’s at or above 50% yet.

has anyone found an actual answer why, or is this whole thread just everyone saying they have the same issue without finding an actual solution or answer?
