Noticed my ESC key is not functioning properly. It does show on accessibility keyboard as pressed, however does nothing when pressed. Additionally found that pressing option+esc does what esc used to do. M2 is brand new and hoping its a software glitch ...

Well, ESC key was not working ... and the only way for me to trigger it was to use Option ESC ... long story short ... it was a third party product "BetterTouchTool" that was over-riding ESC key ... my own misconfiguration.

Not sure what you are referring to. Option+Esc triggers text to speech. The option key by itself doesn't do anything.
