Deleting wallpapers
all I want to do is delete an existing wallpaper. Is it really that hard???

No. On the Lock Screen, tap and hold on your current wallpaper, then swipe up on the wall paper you wish to delete, and tap the red trashcan icon to delete the Wallpaper pair, tap "Delete Wallpaper" to confirm.
Wallpaper pairs for some reason cannot be deleted from the Settings App, only the Lock Screen.
