One of my playlists was deleted or just disappeared. I'm actually not sure.
But since I just got my macbook I haven't been able to setup time machine and it turns out my phone's last backup is from 9 months ago. Needless to say that the cross platform sync came in "really handy"... :')
Is there maybe another way to restore a playlist?

If you don't have a backup of a library database that contains the missing playlist then you'll have to try to recreate it from memory. There's no trash can for old playlists that you can look into.
