Message not delivered

I recently (last few days) changed providers for my mobile services. Since every time I try to send a message it says not delivered, however the person receiving the messages replies back to messages that have ‘not delivered’. It’s becoming frustrating because I don’t know whether or not my message has sent until I receive a reply.. PLEASE HELP

also have tried apple support app but nothing has helped yet

When you get the status "Not Delivered", the iPhone keeps trying after a while when it finds a network (Cellular / Internet) it is sent.

Please go back to the message which said "not delivered" after you receive a reply. You will notice that the "Not delivered" message may not exist anymore. This happens usually for SMS when the cellular tower may not be reachable or the cellular traffic is high. The messages are sent as soon as the cellular traffic is cleared by the cellular service provider.

Please contact your Carrier if this happens frequently. As you may be aware that internet connectivity is not required for sending SMS.

iMessage (Blue) -

  • iPhone to iPhone: requires internet (Either over WiFi or Cellular Service) as it is sent over internet protocol. Needs Activation on your device.
  • iPhone to Android: Not available

SMS/MMS (Green) -

  • iPhone to Android: does not require any internet it is sent over cellular voice protocol. Needs to be enabled by your Carrier for the SIM used by you.
  • iPhone to iPhone: When iMessage is not activated or the device is not connected to the internet either over cellular or WiFi

It will turn from Blue to Green if you have enabled "Send as SMS" and whenever your iPhone is not connected to the internet it is sent as SMS (green) to all iPhone users.
