Find My items that appear fine on my iPhone Find My app are not appearing in the apple watch Find Items app. It simply says "Keep track of your everyday items. Add items to Find My on your iPhone", as if that's not already the case.

If your devices are already set up and have Find My enabled on them the next thing we’re going to recommend is that you make sure all your devices, including your iPhone and Apple Watch are up to date. The latest iPhone version is iOS 16.3.1 and the latest Apple Watch version is watchOS 9.3.1.
You can verify the current version on your iPhone in Settings > General > About. You can verify the current version on your Apple Watch on the watch itself in Settings > General > About or in the Watch app on your iPhone in General > About.
