I fell for a scammer, I logged into his account and he changed the password immediately, I want to restore the phone. HELP

Do you have the original proof of purchase from Apple or an authorized retailer?

If so, you will have to provide the original document to Apple to have the activation lock removed.

If not, then it’s a paper-weight.

You are not talking directly with Apple employees here. As such, there is nothing we can do to assist you with getting your phone unlocked.

If you do not have possession of this phone, then you need to contact your local law enforcement and report it to them as stolen.

Then contact Apple support.

If I understand you correctly you gave your unlocked phone to the fraudster and they changed the Apple ID to theirs. If that is what happened you got scammed, sorry. Try this:

Go to Settings.

Tap your name > Password & Security > Change Password.

Follow the onscreen instructions to reset your password.
