Use Macbook in the cold

I have an event soon where I‘ll have to use my Macbook. I‘m sitting indoors and will be safe from rain, but it‘s in a barn with no heating provided.

Temperatures will be around 3-12C (37-53F). The event is on 2 days, around 10 hours per day where the Macbook will be used more or less (will be turned on all the time). It can be charged at all times, so at least I don‘t have to worry about battery life.

I will be bringing it home over night so it won‘t have to stay in a cold car (I know I should not turn it on indoors immediately).

Is there anything else I have to worry about when using it in these temperatures? Anything I can do to prevent possible damage?

tbh I‘ve never cared much and always used my old macbook in the last few years. But now with a new macbook I‘m beginning to wonder if it‘s a good idea…

for the 14 and 16-in models:

Operating Requirements

Line voltage: 100V to 240V AC

Frequency: 50Hz to 60Hz

Operating temperature: 50° to 95° F (10° to 35° C)

Storage temperature: –13° to 113° F (–25° to 45° C)

Relative humidity: 0% to 90% noncondensing

Operating altitude: tested up to 10,000 feet

Maximum storage altitude: 15,000 feet

Maximum shipping altitude: 35,000 feet

that part is VERY important!! if it is cold, the warm moist air in your house could cause condensation on the cold MacBook Pro, and that condensation could cause damage.

Apple suggests use of the MacBook to be between 50 degrees and 95 degrees Fahrenheit.

Obviously people may use a MacBook in areas exceeding these temperatures, but if there is harm to the device that relates to the exceeding of them, I'm not sure Apple is legally compelled to help. Kind of a "swim at your own risk" type of thing!
