How to unlock my App Store for online payment

I’m unable to make online payment.. it keeps telling me locked.

iPhone XR, iOS 16

App Store and iTunes


If you see a message that says "Your account has been disabled in the App Store and iTunes," there might be a problem with the payment method that you have on file.


When you see the message, don't try to edit any of your account information. Instead, contact Apple Support for help.


If you see a message that says 'Your account has been disabled in the App Store and iTunes'



Apple ID


If you can't unlock your Apple ID


If you use security questions with your Apple ID, or if you don't have access to a trusted device or phone number, go to iforgot.apple.com. Then you can unlock your account with your existing password or reset your password.


If your Apple ID is locked or disabled - Apple Support

For Financial Assistance, Contact Apple Store Support:

You need to contact Apple Support Directly. No one here would know what this happened, nor when you can get your iPad. This is a User-to-User forum. We are all volunteers. So, as you may suspect, no one here has access to that information — and that is a good thing, BTW. That’s why for Financial Assistance, you need to contact Apple Support. They’ll see what’s going on and will run you through the fix.

  • Contact Us - Choose Locations
  • Proceed from there, as necessary
  • Why the Wait: Phone calls are taking a bit to go through at the moment, due to lots of calls. With the Coronavirus Pandemic, many are at home at the moment, with much time on their hands to contact Apple. So, just stay on the line, and you will get through :)
