IPhone SE (2nd generation) and USB-C to lighting charger with 20W power adapter not charging

I have been using IPhone SE 2020 (2nd generation) for 2 years now. I have just purchased a new pair of AirPods Pro (2nd generation) and it came with a USB-C to lighting charger. I tried to charge my IPhone SE 2020 with USB-C to lighting charger and 20W power adapter (both original) but it didn't work. It works well with my AirPods, it just doesn't charge my IPhone. And my IPhone can still be charged with the old USB-A to lighting charger. (I tried with one of my friend's old charger) Can someone please tell me why my IPhone is not charging? Thanks.

Hi itssudex,

Does the iPhone give you any error or message when you plug in the USB-C to Lightning cable? If not, we'd recommend confirming how tightly it is connected. Perhaps unplug the 20W adapter, plug it into a different socket and then plug the cable back into the adapter, then into the iPhone.

If there's still nothing at all, it's possible the cable may be defective and not capable of providing enough energy to charge the iPhone, but still being able to charge the AirPods. At that point, we'd advise contacting Apple Support for further assistance.
