Warning: if you cancel your trial subscription all of your playlists will be deleted. Yes, even those with purchased music you created prior to signing up for the streaming service. You must make a copy of the playlists and the names prior to discontinuing streaming. Otherwise all your work is destroyed by Apple. Has anyone had success with getting their playlists restored?

That’s a definite No. Playlists can’t be restored under any circumstances. Use Feedback - Apple Music - Apple for venting your concerns - this forum is for technical questions only.
It can’t be done and you can’t ask for hacks here.
Thanks for the confirmation. Not asking for hacks. Just checking to see if anyone had any success with Apple help desk. I’m concerned that people are agreeing to the “trial” without knowing this Apple policy. I know I did.
