Airpods pro 2s water resistant against saliva

Hello, I have just bought a brand new pair of AirPods Pro 2s and I was cleaning them and stupid enough to try to clean the speaker grille by blowing it and accidentally got there a few small drops of saliva on the speaker grille. I know the they are IPX4 rated and should withstand small splashes of water, but is this the case also with saliva and with direct splashes to the speaker/driver? Should I be worried?

Hello saneleh33,

This article may help to answer some of your questions about the water resistance of your AirPods: About the sweat and water resistance of AirPods Pro and AirPods (3rd generation) - Apple Support.

The short answer is you are probably going to be fine, but there's no way to say so with 100% certainty without an inspection.

We'd advise that you use your AirPods as normal and if you run into any unexpected behavior, reach out to Apple directly for guidance.

We hope this helps. Let us know if we can assist with anything else at all. Take care.
