Lightning to RCA connection cable using IOS 15 and/or 16

I’ve ordered a lightning to rca cable w/L-R connectors. Will this work with my Apple devices that are on IOS 15 & 16. One has a 3.5 mm headphone Jack and the other does not. Not wanting to use the headphone Jack - just straight from lightning to RCA.

I would expect it to work with both, at least the small iphone docks they used to sell only connected by lightning and in terms had a 3.5mm minijack connector that would play audio
