Delay in screen lock after pressing the lock button

I recently noticed that there is a delay of approximately 1 second to lock the screen after pressing the screen lock button. This led to accidental touch inputs for me.

Device : 14 Pro 128 GB

iOS 16.3.1 (Latest) (Public release)

Battery health: 100%

Storage used: 40GB

Update:

Reset all settings and restarting fixed it.

I tried to set each customized setting one by one and found out that the issue for me was due to enabling Guided Access.
