Is there a way to reset my password to the MacBook if I forgot my password as well as the FileVault key? I don’t even remember we set up something like FileVault, but the staffs at Apple store told me that my MacBook had it setup

FYI, I just completed a migration to a new MBPro and during setup of the new Mac, there was a screen which mentioned Filevault and it was selected as a default setting. My old laptop did not have Filevault enabled.
