I have an external display connected to my MacBook Air; can I also connect another one?

I would like to connect a 2nd external display (currently have one 21" lcd monitor connected) and use the laptop as the "dock" while using Magic Mouse & keyboard. Can this be done? If so, how would I designate the 2nd display?

Hi sharonfromardmore,

You started from a great resource: Connect a display to your Mac

For help with connecting a second display you'll want to check if your model supports this using the help of the article here: If your external display is dark or low resolution - Apple Support

Specifically the section "Find out what your Mac supports" which states "Your external display will be dark if it exceeds the maximum number of external displays that your Mac can use at the same time. This limit varies by Mac model."

You can also find helpful information here: Use one or more external displays with your Mac and here: Use an external display with your MacBook Air - Apple Support

Cheers.
