iPad stuck and can’t punch pin or get off Home Screen

While the article you came from is for iPhone, the steps are very similar for iPad.

Make sure you follow the force restart steps shown below:

Press and hold the top button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.
