Changing iPhone 14 Pro Screen Recorder Resolution

I own a 6 year old iPhone 7+ which has a native resolution of 1920x1080. If I record my screen using the native iOS (15.7.3) screen recorder, the video resolution is saved at 1920x1080. If I edit the saved recorded video using iMovie, I can save/export it as 1080p.

Currently, I own an iPhone 14 Pro with native resolution of 1179x2556. If I record my screen using the native iOS (16.3.1) screen recorder, the video resolution is only 1574x886. If I edit the recorded video using iMovie, I can only save/export it as 720p.

I believe the native video screen recorder of latest iOS or iPhones should definitely match the native resolution just like the previous models.

Is there a way of working this around thru settings without using some 3rd party screen recorder apps so we can still save it as 1080p and not go backwards or downres it to 720p? Because that's going backwards esp for a higher model.

Or is this some kind of feature that they will include on the next update?

Please do note that I'm NOT talking about 'camera' video settings which I know how and where to change it. This is the 'Screen Recorder' feature that was introduced back in iOS 11. The added feature in the Control Center. Not the Camera app.
