Problem with purchasing music from iTunes

I have an account balance of $10. I’ve tried buying songs from iTunes, but it won’t use my account balance. My bank (which I’m not trying to use) keeps getting declined for $10.81. I understand it defaulted to my bank because my Apple ID only has $10, my question is: does anyone know why iTunes is trying to charge $10.81 for one song? I’m not trying to purchase an Apple Music subscription and I am also trying all of this through the iTunes Store app, not my music app. It also does the same thing on my computer.

Can't say for sure without knowing the exact song, but most likely that is $9.99 for an album, plus sales tax. This can happen if either you unintentionally clicked to buy the full album, or if the song you are trying to buy is "album only."

(on iPhone) If you want to buy a song, tap iTunes Store, then tap Search, and search for the song you want to buy.

It also does the same thing on my computer.

(mac OS) Tap Music -> iTunes Store -> search.

(Windows OS) Tap iTunes -> iTunes Store -> search.

You can cancel your Apple Music subscription, see -> Manage subscriptions on Apple TV -> Manage subscriptions on Apple TV – Apple Support (UK)

  • You can modify or cancel subscriptions available on Apple TV, including Apple Music, Apple TV channels, Apple Arcade or individual apps.
