Receiving Calendar Meeting Invitation Responses By Email

I use the native Apple Calendar on my MacBook Pro and iPhone. I successfully use iCloud to sync my calendar between the two devices. I do not have iCloud email switched on.

When I create a meeting and send an invitation to an external party, I would like to receive an email notification (or some other notification) when the recipient accepts or declines my invitation.

Currently, I can only tell if someone has accepted my invitation by opening the calendar meeting item and looking for a green tick beside their name.

Do I need an iCloud email switched on to receive meeting responses via email? Or is there some other way to achieve this?

I appreciate any advice.

Hey Cadmium66,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. We’d be happy to answer your question. The method you’ve mentioned already is the only method available to see who has or hasn’t accepted your calendar invitation.

There’s not currently an option to send an email response for each acception or denial to an event. We’d suggest providing feedback for that using this link: Product Feedback - Apple

Take care!
