Unbeknownst to me, I had used nail polish remover to clean my left and right AirPods, the top layer of polish is now gone. I was wondering if it’s still elegible to be replaced? I have a limited warranty still active and hardware service is covered.

That will add to all the difficulties. Apple does not provide international shipping. You would have to find somebody in Peru who represents Apple.
I do not work for Apple but I suspect that somewhere in the warranty you will find you have voided any opportunity for warranty service by cleaning them with nail polish remover.

Issue, I live in Peru and there are no “Apple” shops but 3rd party sellers. I’m worried that they might be replaced with fakes or be overcharged massively. Here in Peru the 2nd Gen have only just come out and they’re generally quite new and I had to get mine shipped from the USA.
There is one “Official Seller” chain here called iShop. Though I am 99% sure they won’t have replacements since in December I attempted to purchase the 2nd Gen AirPods from multiple locations
and they didn’t even know what they were. I had to get other family to purchase them for me and ship them over.
Also I understand about the warranty void. Thank you.
