CarPlay

Contributors here are all end-users, just like you. Other than information published by Apple, nobody here has any insight into Apple’s product design decisions or future software development roadmap.

There are some features and native Apps that are only available for iOS (iPhone) or iPadOS (iPad). CarPlay is currently limited to iPhone.

Apple do invite submission of feature requests via its Product Feedback portal. For iPad and iPadOS:

CarPlay has not been announced for iPad. As CarPlay is intended to connect a phone to a vehicle for a hands free experience, the likelihood is that it will not come to iPad.
