CarPlay option removed after 26.3.1 update

Just my updated my iPhone 14 to 26.3.1 a day or two ago. I was getting ready to leave and noticed my CarPlay wasn’t working. After trying several steps with my car, my husband tried his iPhone which he has not updated to the most recent one like I did, and his worked just fine. I just got off the phone with Apple support. According to both a support rep and senior support rep, they have never seen this before. My CarPlay option is completely gone from my phone! Anyone else have this same issue?

If the CarPlay option disappeared after updating, it usually means the CarPlay framework didn’t load correctly on the phone. This can make the entire CarPlay menu vanish from Settings ➡️ General ➡️ CarPlay, even though the car and cable are fine.

1) Check if CarPlay is actually missing

Open Settings ➡️ General ➡️ CarPlay.

If it’s not listed, the phone isn’t loading the CarPlay module.

2) Try Reseting Network Settings

Open Settings ➡️ General ➡️ Transfer or Reset iPhone ➡️ Reset Network Settings.

Restart the iPhone.

Reconnect to the car (wired or wireless).

3) If none of the above works, then you can update your iPhone when the next iOS update version is released.
