Updated to Big Sur, Now I can't print to either my canon or my Konica Minolta. I get "Filter Failed every time.
I tried resetting the the print system and reinstalling, this did not fix the issue.

But if the vendor's print drivers do not support the operating system, something you can check on the Canon or Konica-Minolta sites, then you won't have printing functionality. This is why you check this information before any operating system upgrade.
Are either of those printers AirPrint enabled?

macOS includes native support only for them. If the printer's documentation indicates a need to install a third party driver, it probably will not work. Consult the printer's manufacturer or support website.
Having the same issue with Ventura. I'm getting the filter failed notification on all printers. I've deleted and readded all of my printers. I've reset the printer system. I've reinstalled all of my drivers, still getting the same issue.
I have checked with Canon (they have no print drives for this machine for any version of MAC OS, they said they will get back to me), Konica Minolta still has not gotten back to me. I may have to roll back the OS
