iPhone Apps Not Loading & Losing Connectivity

Today my iPhone is behaving very badly. Around half of my apps are not loading, even after deleting and reinstalling. I turned off my VPN but that didn't help. I can't restart it, now.

WhatsApp is stuck 'connecting' forever.

Bank app says 'Lost Connectivity' as soon as I touch it.

Safari, Brave and Google maps are stuck and not loading.

But some apps are good: Instagram, FB Messenger and Signal are all ok. Texting is fine, too.

Wifi connectivity is lagging and dropping but randomly.

I've restarted a few times, updated everything, and still get this bizarre activity. It's not my Wifi because other devices work fine.

What next?

Hi peter4good,

One way to isolate the issue without trying another Wi-Fi network is to turn off Wi-Fi and see if the apps load over cellular data.

To turn off Wi-Fi, go to Settings > Wi-Fi and turn off Wi-Fi.

If they work on cellular data, try connecting to another Wi-Fi network or power cycle your router and try them again.

We also recommend restarting your device and keeping it updated as those steps assure you have cleared out any minor software issues and are running the most current version.
