Why are lyrics missing for my purchased iTunes/Apple Music songs? None of the music I've bought on iTunes/Music will show me the lyrics! Even for well-known songs or songs where I can see by checking on any other music platform that they do indeed have lyrics uploaded for them. From a little research, it looks like if you pay for the Apple Music subscription, it unlocks the lyrics, but I recently switched from having a subscription for music (through YouTube Music), to buying the music to help support the artists more and to be able to own a copy of their music (and to save money). I didn't even think to check that the lyrics might be locked behind a paywall. I am Deaf (extremely hard-of-hearing) and I need the lyrics to be able to understand the words of my favorite songs... It's not just a "ooh neat" feature for me, it's an ADA accessibility point. Any idea how I would fix this? [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Apple Music deleting my lyrics Hello, recently I noticed the Apple Music deleting my own updated lyrics. I added some songs to my library. Then I changed some tags (name of the song, pictures, comments, sorting etc.). I also update lyrics of the songs. At first it looks that it works, but whenever I do slight change in some tags of the saved songs - lyrics came back to default - but only lyrics. Other tags changed by me stay the same. Could someone tell me why this is happening and how to fix it?

Why dont the lyrics show up on my songs anymore I think I may have clicked a button but it won’t click back My songs that used to show the lyrics don’t anymore I know it’s fixable I’m just not remembering how to do it please help text

Thanks, I spoke with Apple. Turns out I hadn't synced my iTunes music recently. After a sync between MacBook iTunes and iPhone I was able to see custom lyrics in iPhone Music.

Thanks. But this was available through the Music app before Apple Music Subscription became a thing. Does that mean all of my manually-added custom lyrics are no longer accessible in the music app on my iPhone?

Unfortunately, I'm afraid so.

Everything I can find on the subject suggests that it requires an Apple Music subscription to use the lyrics.

Perfect! and thanks for getting back with the solution. I'm happy that it's still possible without an Apple Music subscription, and sorry that I assumed it couldn't be done - but I simply couldn't find information about it without it also being written about the Apple Music subscription.

Unfortunately it is not possible. Lyrics is an Apple Music subscription feature.
