why does my iPad AOL account outgoing smtp server setup use ‘optional’ for username and password?

Thanks. My AOL account is working, just curious how my AOL account used Optional for Username and Password.

I did sign-in to AOL to checkout my password they generated and received the message “Something went wrong”. I saw this last time also. If you click on Help, they ask for a specific details and your credid card.

Regarding your account with AOL, and how Optional worked, please contact AOL. They will know what settings are on your account.

How to contact an app developer - Apple Support

Most likely, this is a new security token or trusted device set up with AOL to allow your trusted device(s) access.

Hi, I did log into AOL and received an error messag: ‘Something went wrong’. They want you to call their expert and have your crediit card handy. It’s all about money. Thanks you.
