Empty trash

Trying to restart in safe mode didn't help me to empty the trash. Still get an error message that the cache is in use and com.apple.aned file is not authorized to be seen.

I'm not particularly tekky so need very specific instructions to solve this problem. Please help.

One of the awesome Apple support staff helped figure out the problem after hours of detective work. This is how -

Opened up the files in trash that couldn't be deleted in one window.....opened up in a separate window Finder>Go>option key Library>highlight Cache drop-down arrow to open

Command A to highlight all the trash files and click and drag them back to Cache in the other window.

Apparently I had been deleting the Cache folder instead of just the contents. Lesson learned.

Hope this helps someone else.

Where did these deleted files come from in your Trash can?

Is this the only issue <com.apple.aned> ?

Did you try Control click on this file> Put Back...(?)

File or Folder?
