IMessage rejoin group

I left a 6 person group iMessage. I later could not rejoin the group message string. Another group member tried to add me, but I am still listed in the group of members. I do receive the group messages, but cannot respond to the group. However, I can respond to the group only by starting a new group message with the same people each time.

If you haven't already, you can see if restarting your iPhone 13 may help. This refreshes the iOS and may help resolve this issue for you. If needed, the steps below show how to restart:

"How to restart your iPhone X, 11, 12, 13, or later

Press and hold either volume button and the side button until the power-off slider appears.
Drag the slider, then wait 30 seconds for your device to turn off. If your device is frozen or unresponsive, force restart your device.
To turn your device back on, press and hold the side button (on the right side of your iPhone) until you see the Apple logo."
