Email from google group not delivered, didn't bounce. Help debugging

My icloud account is set to receive email from a google group. Usually the email arrives. Yesterday it did not (also not in junk folder). It did not bounce. Others [with gmail] got the email. (I'm the google group owner/sender so checked these things). How can I tell what went wrong? How can I tell Apple to deliver these messages?
