white grid icon on tiktok

Hello, recently I turned on my phone to use tiktok, i guess I pressed something because my phone turned of (not completely just like turning power buttton off) I then saw tiktok had this skeleton looking grid on the app icon so I thought it just didn’t download.

I then delted the app from everywhere and turned my phone off then on again completely.

I saw the app had came back and I tried pressing it but it didn’t take me to tiktok, it was just there, I went to the App Store and I saw tiktok said open but that open button wouldn’t do anything and I don’t know what to do.

My phone is an IPhone 6s and I know my phone is able to run it.

I tried everything and I don’t want to factory reset.

Any ideas on what I should do?!

Cheers!

Hey there whos_loretta,

It looks like you are having an issue with the TikTok app on your iPhone 6s. That being said, we recommend making sure to scroll down on the TikTok App Store page to view the requirements for that app. The requirements can be found under the section Information > Compatibility. Looks like you'll need an iPhone model that can run at least iOS 11.0 when we checked the requirements from our own iPhone.

If your iPhone meets the requirements, then the next steps to take are the ones listed here as it's a third-party app that's not acting as expected: If an app on your iPhone or iPad stops responding, closes unexpectedly, or won’t open Please keep in mind that one of the last steps listed would be to contact the app developer.

Cheers!
