how can i transfer old emails to my icloud to free up space
My mac is almost full with 10 GB of emails; how can I put older emails into the cloud?

We understand you're having trouble with old email using space and we want to help.
Can you tell us which account you use for Mail?
Normally, mail accounts sync their mailboxes to your device when you add your account, and therefore deleting the files deletes them everywhere.
If it's possible for you to delete some of the mail, that might help you save space. It's not normally something you would do to offload these to iCloud.
What other storage recommendations do you have for your Mac when you check for storage? 10GB is a lot of emails, but it's not enough to fill your Mac, so there might be some other options for you.
