my docking station doesn't seem to be connecting my MacBook Air to the external monitor, has anyone connected successfully via a ThinkPad docking station?

First step, disconnect the docking station from the MacBook Air and then connect the display directly to the Mac and see if that works. The issue may not be the docking station but the display itself (some sort of internal settings) or possibly the cable being used as not all USB-C cables are created equal in terms of supporting computer displays.
The ThinkPad docking station works with all MacBooks that can connect to a display over USB C. The M1 MacBook Air can connect to a display over USB C so it should work..
Do you have another external display connected at this time? The M1 MBA can only connect up to 1 external display
Hi Nick
Thank you, i don’t have another external display connected and am using a USBC from monitor into the docking station - all other connections eg mac/mouse etc are working except the monitor….
