My iPad is full to capacity so I want to remove many photos to free up space but the device is too full even to show the photos - there are just white squares. I have also tried removing unnecessary Apps but still cannot free up space so I can see the photos to delete. Any ideas for solutions much appreciated!

If your internal storage is full, your only option is to better manage the storage that you have - and delete unused Apps or unneeded data.
